A bizarre pastime of some of our self-styled leaders: They turn up at mosques and other places of worship ostensibly to offer prayers (no offensive intended-may Allah, SWT, answer those said with sincerity by whoever-Mehmood or Ayaz) but then seize the occasion to deliver political speeches. The worshipers give them patient hearing for whatever reason. What is, however, more strange is: Within no time, statements, press releases arrive at newspaper offices saying ‘so and so’ has while addressing ‘huge’, ‘mammoth’, ‘impressive’ ‘public rally’ at ‘such and such place’ said, blah blah blah! How unfortunate we, the people of the Vale, are.
